The Department of Social Security Studies at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences is proud to hold the second edition of its International Short Courses on Social Protection with a specialisation on Climate Change.
Taught by practitioners from UNU, UNFCCC, the World Bank and Munich Re, the course will take place both online (August 7-18) and on campus here in Bonn, Germany (September 5-13) and cover the following topics:
- Theory and Concepts of Climate Change & Adaptation
- Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction- Policy and Practice
- Climate Change, Disaster Risk & Social Protection - the Nexus
- Innovative Financial Solutions to serve the Nexus (Micro Insurance- Weather Indexed Insurance Schemes)
Fees: 1,300 EUR (excludes travel or accommodation expenses)
