Resilience Thinking in Designing Sustainable Riverfront Settlement
Department of Urban and Regional Planning of Diponegoro University in Semarang, Indonesia is in the semester for urban design and development studio. In this semester, the 3rd year students are focusing on Semarang City as a waterfront area. Taking location in the city where the university based, the students are exploring Banjir Kanal Timur (East Flood Canal), identifying potentials to develop and problems to solve. As waterfront area, the studio class is trying to design Banjir Kanal Timur to be a sustainable riverfront settlement.
